Graduate Student Funding and Travel

Travel Funding

The department has limited travel funding available for graduate students on an annual basis to support graduate student professional development. 

Math Graduate Students must meet the following eligibility criteria for consideration:

  • Must be a current UCR Math Grad student in good standing.
  • Must be presenting a poster or a talk at the respective conference to receive funding.
  • Must seek alternate funding prior to applying for a department award (including their faculty advisor, campus GSA, conference organizers, and other funding opportunities).
  • Application for funding must be submitted in advance of travel.
  • Have not exceeded annual department award for the year. 
     

Please note, for the 25-26 academic year, the total maximum amount is $500.

Math Travel Reimbursement Instructions and Guide

Approved funding is guaranteed for thirty (30) days after trip completion. All travel reimbursements regardless of funding source must be submitted within thirty (30) days of the completion of the trip.
