Graduate Student Funding and Travel
Travel Funding
Limited funding is available on an annual basis to support graduate student professional development.
2025-26: The maximum annual award for department funding is $500.
Math Graduate Students must meet the following eligibility criteria for consideration:
- Must be a current UCR Math Grad student in good standing.
- Must present a poster or a talk at the respective conference.
- Required to seek alternate funding prior to applying for a department travel award. (Documentation will be required.)
- Apply to the Conference Organizer(s)
- Consult with your Faculty Advisor.
- Submit a Travel Funding Request to the Graduate Student Association (GSA).
- We encourage Math Grads to seek other alternate Travel Awards.
- Application for funding must be submitted in advance of travel.
- Have not exceeded the annual department award for the year.
Post Travel Instructions
- Travel Reimbursements: Graduate Student Instructions
- All travel reimbursements regardless of funding source must be submitted within thirty (30) days of the completion of the trip.
- Funding is only approved for thirty (30) days after trip completion. Travel reimbursements submitted after 30 days will be denied.
