Partial Differential Equations & Applied Math Seminar
Quantitative modeling approaches are widely used in drug development to inform decision points across all stages of development, from target selection to dose/regimen selection, evidence generation for regulatory approval, and lifecycle management. Quantitative systems pharmacology (QSP) refers to mechanistic mathematical modeling, typically in the form of ordinary differential equations, to simulate drug interactions with biological systems. In this talk, I will give a brief overview of QSP as a field and will present two published case studies: (1) a CAR T cell therapy for non-Hodgkins lymphoma, and (2) a live biotherapeutic product for inflammatory bowel disease.
