   • For your budget, please the Administrative Team know, via mathfinance@ucr.edu, if you plan to fund any of the following: ​​​​​​PI/Co-PI Summer Salary, Graduate Student Support, Postdoc Support, Travel - domestic or international, Equipment, Materials & Supplies, Computing, Publication Costs, Sub Awardee at another institution, etc.
     • The Administrative Team will prepare the calculated budget using current rates for your review.
5. Facilities, Equipment, and Other Resources
   • Please note that all resources must be applicable to your proposal. If not, please remove what is not applicable.
6. Senior Personnel Documents:
   • Biographical Sketch(es)
     • Must be generated via SciENcv
   • Current and Pending Support (NSF Proposal Applications)
     • Must be generated via SciENcv

• Next Period Funding (Subawards)
  • If you are expecting next period funding increment, please contact your analyst. Please be sure to provide award information and the awarding institution's contact information.
• Subaward - UCR as Prime Institution
  • Once an award has been processed by the RED office, a Subaward/Subcontract Request Form (SRF) must be completed. Please contact your analyst for more information.
• No Cost Extension (NCE)
  • Should the PI determine that additional time is required to complete the scope of work and/or reporting requirements of an award, then a request for a No Cost Time Extension (NCE) should be timely submitted through RED to the sponsor, in accordance with sponsor policy. Please contact your analyst for assistance.
• Expiring Awards
  • Notices are automatically sent out to PI when awards are expiring in 60-90 days via no-reply@oraclecloud.com. Please be sure to contact your analyst if you need assistance utilizing the award prior to expiration. (Expenses must be incurred during the period of performance. If an expense is incurred after the project's period of performance, another funding source must be utilized for the cost).

For the Kuali internal/campus submission, the following information must be submitted to your department analyst to initiate the proposal:

1. Project Title
2. Project start and end date
3. PI Effort
4. Key Personnel (co-PI's)

6. Project Sponsorship Information/Other Institution Contact Information
7. Budget Details
8. Conflict of Interest Disclosure (Only when applicable)

• Please be sure to always select "Close" when exiting a proposal.

• Please be sure to follow the "Validation" instructions if any errors need to be fixed.

• All routing and approvals must be completed prior to the RED office deadline (2 business days prior to sponsor deadline, excluding holidays).
• You will be contacted to complete the Kuali Questionnaire and Effort amount by your analyst.

• Please be sure to contact your analyst if you see any discrepancies in Kuali. Once it is ready to be routed, the proposal will be routed as the following:

Bargaining Units, Contracts, and Local Agreements

Principal Investigators (PIs), including subrecipients in the grant proposal, should provide the Statistics Department advance notice of at least 20 business days prior to the sponsor's deadline.

Please provide the following information to the Statistics Department analysts: 

• Subrecipient PI name
• Subrecipient Institution name
• Subrecipient email
• Subrecipient Po Title
• Subrecipient analyst contact information
• Solicitation or Funding Opportunity Announcement

Any proposed subrecipient organization should be prepared to provide the following to UCR:

1. Completed UCR subrecipient commitment form
2. Scope of Work
3. Institutional Letter of Commitment on subrecipient organization's letterhead, signed by the subrecipient organization's institutional official
4. Budget
5. Budget Justification

Please know that additional documents may be required per proposal submission guidelines.
