Department of Mathematics

Joseph Moeller graduated with his Ph.D. in 2020 under the supervision of Dr. John C. Baez.  He is now currently working at NIST in Gaithersburg, Maryland as a Postdoctoral Scholar. 

I graduated with my PhD from UCR in Spring 2020. Since Summer 2020, I have been a G. C. Evans Instructor in the Department of Mathematics at Rice University. In Fall 2020, I was a Postdoctoral Researcher for the Research Foundation of The City University of New York. This opportunity was offered by Prof. Christina Sormani and was funded by NSF Grant DMS - 1612049.

Ryan Moruzzi Jr graduated with his Ph.D. in 2019 under the supervision of Dr. Vyjayanthi Chari.  He is now currently working at CSU East Bay as an Assistant Professor. 

I graduated in 2019 from UCR and started my current position as a postdoc at WPI. Who knows what's next!

After defending my PhD in the spring of 2016, I moved to Copenhagen, Denmark with my husband. In Denmark I worked as the Director or Regulatory and Research Development for SmartPractice Denmark, a pharmaceutical company. After returning to the United States in the summer of 2018, I began teaching Mathematics at Springfield High School in Springfield, VT. During the summer of 2021, we moved to Phoenix, AZ, where I am now teaching Mathematics at Rancho Solano Preparatory School.

Timothy Cobler graduated with his Ph.D. in 2016 under the supervision of Dr. Michel L. Lapidus. He is now currently working at Fullerton College as a Tenured Mathematics Instructor. 

John Dusel graduated with his Ph.D. in 2015 under the supervision of Dr. Jacob Greenstein.  He is now currently working at Metron Inc. in Reston Virginia as a Research Scientist. 

Jae-Wook Chung graduated with his Ph.D. in 2005 under the supervision of Dr. Xiao-Song Lin.  He is now currently working at Kyungli University in Gyeongsan in Korea as a Professor of Mathematics.
