Math Emporium

The Department of Mathematics establishes the Math Emporium to encourage collaborative learning among students. Due to the limited space, this program targets students of the following courses: Math 4, 5, 6A/B, 7A/B, 9A/B/C, 10A/B and 22.
Students in these courses are encouraged to come and study in team and across the different courses and classes. Although teaching assistants will be available to help guiding your team through some problems, the Math Emporium does not replace the discussion sections and Instructor / TA Office Hours for individual consultation.

In order to foster collaboration among math majors, especially those in the junior and senior years, we created the Mathematics Undergraduate Collaboration hours to be held in Surge 347. During the designated hours, juniors and seniors are encouraged to come to study alone or in a group. A Math Graduate Student will also be present to participate in academic discussion or collaborative projects. However, these hours and the Graduate Students do not replace TA Office Hours for designated courses. This program will last throughout the ten weeks of instruction.
