| This is a part-time, career position. Schedule of hours is variable; mixed mornings and afternoons. Hours may be supplemented with temporary department funding to full-time during peak periods. The budgeted monthly starting salary range for this position is $2,702 - $3,137. - salary will be pro-rated at 50% time. The University of California, Riverside is implementing cost reduction measures due to the state budget crisis. Effective November 1, 2009 through October 31, 2010, this position’s work time will be reduced according to a specified plan. | Essential Functions: | |
| This position provides clerical & administrative support to the FAO and Chair of the Mathematics Department. Duties include but are not limited to, maintaining departmental website, arranging all department events such as colloquiums and seminars, producing weekly calendars and notices, processing all room requests and organizing departmental office hours for all faculty and TAs. The assistant maintains recommendation letters, overflow backup for faculty merit / promotion process, purchases items needed for events, maintains Chair's calendar and assists with projects as they arise. |
